This one time at Sea World

I don't remember much, apart from a grim trip to HULL. There is a saying which goes ' From Hull, Hell and Halifax' which sums it up...

Ill keep this brief, so we were at The Deep- which is an aquatic/educational/ aquariam thing.
We were in the open tank bit where there are glass walls about 6 foot high with large sting rays inside and other notable aquatic life. We were watching a display/ talk about Sting rays while they were being fed.
It was jam packed, it was a school holiday it was STINGTENSE.

My sister throws, in her boredom , not only her cbeebies magazine in the water but her full pack of felt tips which disband across the pool while the magazine very slowly sinks to the bottom.
We are pressed to the front of the glass, 6 people deep and the whole room falls silent- including the lecturer lady who is stood on a platform at the edge with a Britney spears Microphone.
The Green felt tip didn't have a lid on and it starts making a luminous green trail.

Of course the Felt tips and Magazine were dangerous to the endangered sea life in that pool, of course one of the sting rays got agitated and started swimming through the green streak and of course they had to stop the talk, clear the room while we watched one member of staff get in a wetsuit while the other got a net to fish whats remnants out she could.

I didn't cry. We just ran.
Never been back to the Deep since.
